For those of you who know me you know it’s usual for me to send out a post other than on Thursday mornings. I had the pleasant opportunity to read Sandi Krakowski’s #BEMORE: 77 Secrets To Your Powerful Life, so I wanted to tell you about it.
If you are active on Social Media you may be familiar with Sandi as she has over a million followers on her combined platforms, and she is very active on those platforms. She is not shy about sharing her opinions or her beliefs and that is what originally drew me to Sandi.
No matter what you are struggling with in your daily life you are sure to find the help you are looking for in her 77 secrets.
I was very excited to see the five areas that the book is broken down into:
Part One: Be More Connected to God
Part Two: Be More In Tune With Yourself
Part Three: Be More Attentive To Yourself
Part Four: Be More Engaged With Your Community
Part Five: Be More Mindful Of Your World
The reason I was so excited was in the weeks leading up to receiving the book, I was beginning to notice how distracted and not present in the moment I had become. I was always thinking about the next thing, or many things at once, doing multiple things at once, not how I want to live.
As I was reading through these “Secrets” Secret #24 Pay Attention, and not just this one but almost all of them, I thought oh my word, Sandi is writing this book just for me. Then I realized so many of us are so distracted by the world around us that we aren’t living in the moment we are thinking about five things at once, trying to do multiple things at once, trying to do them all well, and at the end of the day we’re exhausted and we don’t understand why. We are not living our lives in tune, attentive, engaged or mindfully.
I guarantee whatever it is that you are struggling with get Sandi’s book, read it, and keep going back to those areas that you are struggling with over and over and you will learn how to win against your struggles.
How do I know? As I said I’ve been following Sandi for a while. She taught me Secret #35 in following her, It Doesn’t Have to be Perfect. I used to be someone who thought I couldn’t put it out there unless it was perfect. What did that mean for me and my business? Well, I very rarely put anything out there because it was never perfect. I learned it doesn’t have to be perfect, do it, give it my best, and put it out there. My best is better than never doing it at all.
I will be using Sandi’s book as a reference guide in 2015 and beyond for living the life that I want to live and I hope you do too.
When you are picking this book up for yourself, buy a few extra copies for family and friends for Christmas gifts. It’s a great start to a New Year and a New You learning the “Secrets” that Sandi lives in her life.
